Cambourne Village College is purpose built for the Cam Academy Trust, the vibrant, brand new building with excellent facilities provides a perfect environment in which to learn and work. Finance Officer

Finance Officer Grade 5, Point 12-17 £21,589 - £23,836 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Required – September 2019

The Cam Academy Trust is seeking an experienced Finance Officer to support our very busy team at Cambourne Village College. We offer quality financial support to our clients which include students, teachers and operational staff but we also work with a wide range of suppliers and external agencies. Support, training & development is available as part of this role.

We are looking for a committed, flexible and reliable person with good finance experience. Knowledge of SAGE 200 would be an advantage, but knowledge of finance systems and Excel spreadsheets is a requirement. Your interpersonal skills will be excellent, and you must be able to work under pressure. Confidentiality is a must, as is a high level of numeracy and literacy.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, comfortable working at pace and to tight deadlines, and have the ability to make decisions with rapidly changing priorities. Responsibilities will include the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable, the Parent Pay System and preparing monthly management accounts. You must also be able to answer queries and be a key contact for finance matters within the College.

Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant Grade 4, Point 7-11 £19,554 - £21,166 (£10,356 - £11,209 pro rata) 22.5 hours per week, term time plus 2 weeks Required – September 2019

The Cam Academy Trust is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to support our very busy team at Cambourne Village College. You should be able to accurately process transactions for the College from initial order to payment, follow systems and processes to keep accurate records of the College finances and offer support to the Finance Officer to ensure the College financial processes are robust and followed at all times.

Counsellor

Start date: September 2019

Salary:   £20 per hour 

Contract:  Fixed term one year.

Hours of work:  one day per week, by negotiation (actual hours 8.30-3pm) 6 hours per week.

We are looking to recruit a counsellor to work with pupils who have social, emotional and mental health issues.  The successful candidate will hold relevant counselling/ therapy qualification and accreditation recognised through BACP.   The work will include providing some one-to-one counselling for individuals and some targeted group work sessions.

We are seeking to appoint Spanish Speaker/s to work with students within a classroom

setting and small groups during the school day.

No previous experience is necessary but basic understanding of Spanish grammar is required.

DT Technician

Design and Technology Technician

We are seeking to appoint an Evening Caretaker  who will be part of a small team responsible for general maintenance of the premises, this must be done thoroughly, carefully and with pride. The post holder will be expected to interact with other staff, pupils and members of the community, in a polite and helpful manner. Some week daytime working may also be required on an ad hoc basis to cover holiday of team members this will be agreed in advance with the Campus Manager.

To look after the Village College site when it is open at weekends and be the designated person in charge of overseeing customer service, security, and health and safety. The role plays an integral part in ensuring the Village College delivers an excellent community programme and is also responsible for incident control, fire evacuations, and Health and Safety throughout the public areas of the College.
