Cambourne Village College is purpose built for the Cam Academy Trust, the vibrant, brand new building with excellent facilities provides a perfect environment in which to learn and work. Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant

Scale 4, Point 18-21 £18,870-£20,541 pro rata

Required – February 2019

The Cam Academy Trust is seeking experienced Finance Assistants to support our very busy finance teams at Cambourne Village College and Comberton Village College. These positions are for 37 hours per week, on a term time plus two-week basis at Comberton Village College and 52 weeks per year at Cambourne Village College. Daily hours of work will be subject to discussion at the point of interview.

We are looking for a committed, flexible and reliable person with good finance experience. Knowledge of SAGE 200 would be an advantage, but knowledge of finance systems and Excel spreadsheets is a requirement. Your interpersonal skills will be excellent, and you must be able to work under pressure. Confidentiality is a must, as is a high level of numeracy and literacy.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, comfortable working at pace and to tight deadlines, and have the ability to make decisions with rapidly changing priorities.

IT Apprentice - L2 or L3

IT Apprentice (Level 2 Intermediate or Level 3 Advanced can be offered)

Salary range:   £100-150 per week

Hours of work:  37 per week- 8.00am – 4pm Mon- Thu and 8.00am – 3.30pm Fri

Contract: Fixed term- dependant on length of course.

Description of role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a young person to embark on a career in Information Technology. The apprenticeship with Cambourne Village College presents a very exciting opportunity for an individual to expand their knowledge of IT and be paid in the workplace whilst training and gaining a qualification. 

The role will be hugely varied as the College has to cater for all aspects of IT from Tablet Computing to Windows Networking you will be involved in all aspects and gain really varied experiences.

Cambourne Village College is offering this vacancy as a level 2 or 3 apprenticeship qualification.

Exam Invigilators

Vacancy Information

The College is looking to appoint a number of Invigilators to assist with the directing of public and internal examinations. Invigilators are a key part of the examinations process, being the person in the exam room responsible for overseeing a particular session in the presence of the candidates, and ensuring that the examination is conducted according to regulations.  Full training is given for this role and no previous experience is required.

Role:                Exam Invigilator- part-time casual contract (zero hours)

Hours:             Various hours by negotiation, between 8.00 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. during the main examination period of Feb – July.  There will be other occasions required throughout the year.

Salary:             £8.97 per hour including holiday pay

Contract:         Part-time casual contract (zero hours)
