Parent Bulletin 01.04.2022

1st April 2022

This week's bulletin is available here

Dear Parents and Carers

Thank you for your support over what has been a busy and successful term.  Alongside lots of positive pupil achievements, we have continued to be challenged at times by high levels of Covid infections, and have now been issued the following guidance:

Covid Measures from today

Testing has ended for all pupils in schools. There will be no public access to testing aside from private sector testing.

Anyone with a privately-accessed positive COVID-19 test result will be advised to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for five days, which is when they are most infectious. For children and young people aged 18 and under, this will be for three days.

Updated guidance advises people with symptoms of a respiratory infection, including COVID-19, and a high temperature or who feel unwell, to try stay at home and avoid contact with other people, until they feel well enough to resume normal activities and they no longer have a high temperature.

Children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people, where they can. They can return to school when they no longer have a high temperature, and they are well enough to attend.

Schools must:

Ensure occupied spaces are well-ventilated and let fresh air in.
Reinforce good hygiene practices such as hand washing and cleaning.

We are all hoping that the situation will begin to ease as the warmer weather (!) arrives.

Celebrations

Notwithstanding the continuing pandemic, this has been a fantastic term in many ways, with a great deal to celebrate. Thank you to everyone who attended the school concert on Tuesday; it was a treat of an evening with many of our talented musicians and singers performing solo pieces.  Year 7 pupils enjoyed their social pizza and film evening on Wednesday, and we are all now very much looking forward to the holiday.

Please see our school magazine News@Cam, to enjoy a celebration of our pupils’ successes and achievements over the past months.

Wishing you all a very happy and enjoyable break; pupils are due back in school on Wednesday 20 April.

Yours sincerely,

Claire Coates
