Update 23.06.2020

23rd June 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

Here are today’s updates:

Year 9 Vaccinations:  You may find this feedback from a parent useful: (Thank you!)

My daughter and I have just got back from St Peter's in Huntingdon whence jabs for Meningitis and DTP were delivered. This was a phenomenally smooth piece of organisation by CamVC and NHS, really first class. A good lesson in how to deliver mass services in a Covid era, and all done quickly and easily. I know a lot of effort goes into this type of exercise behind the scenes.

Prefect Applications Academic Year 20/21:  Message from Mr Patrick

The Year 10 Team are currently reviewing Year 10 student applications for prefect positions for 2020/21. They have been overwhelmed by the response and interest shown, meaning that far more applications have been received than there are positions to fill; the selection process will be very hard for the panel.   If your child has been unsuccessful, please congratulate them on their application and reassure them that the field was extraordinarily strong.   Shortlisted students will be contacted this week with a time and date for a Microsoft Teams interview.

Youth Sports Trust National School Sports Week:  Message from Miss Packham, PE Department

This is happening all week!  Already we have had lots of entries from students completing the activities that are set each day on ShowMyHomework.  Each day offers a different sport and a chance for pupils to have a go at trying something they may not have done before. There are three different activities to choose from each day.  Please encourage your child to give at least one a go, but why not try all three?  Pupils should make sure they are watching the instruction videos created by our Sports Leaders and Activators and using the task cards which can all be found on SMHW. Good Luck!

I hope you’re all enjoying the hot weather!

With best wishes and take care,

Claire Coates

Principal
