Cambourne Village College is purpose built for the Cam Academy Trust, the vibrant, brand new building with excellent facilities provides a perfect environment in which to learn and work. Afternoon Receptionist

Afternoon Receptionist

Salary range:   Scale 2 point 12 (range 12-14) (£17,173 -£17,681 FTE). (£8.90 per hour) Pro rata salary paid for 44.28 weeks.

To start:   September 2018

Hours of work:  Part-time, 20 per week (14.30 until 18.30 Monday to Friday) 39 weeks a year (term time plus 5 training days)

A job share and flexible working arrangements would be considered.

Cambourne Village College, rated outstanding by Ofsted, is a mixed comprehensive school, which opened in 2013.

We are looking to appoint an Afternoon Receptionist to cover the College Reception during the afternoons. The post holder will ensure that visitors and members of the community attending after our school day are greeted professionally and courteously as they access the building and its facilities. The post holder will also be expected to undertake a range of clerical duties including answering the telephone and dealing with questions about the College and its afterschool activities from parents and members of the public.

The successful candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working in a fast paced environment where no 2 days are the same. Experience of working with Microsoft packages and especially Outlook would be required.

Foreign Languages Assistants - Spanish Speakers

Foreign Languages Assistants (Spanish speaker) 

Required for September 2018

Salary: NJC Scale TA1A point 11.  £10.04 per hour 

Contract: Fixed-term one year.

Term time only (38 weeks) plus holiday pay, total paid weeks 43.14. 

Pro rata pay across 52 weeks 

Hours of work: 6-12 hours per week.  A number of positions are available. 

We are seeking to appoint Spanish Speaker/s to work with students within a classroom setting and small groups during the school day.

No previous experience is necessary but basic understanding of Spanish grammar is required.

PE Technician- to start September 2018

Role: PE Technician (commencing September 2018)

Salary: Scale 2, Point 12 (range 12 – 14) £17,173- £17,681 FTE (£8.90 per hour) pro rata salary paid for 44.28 weeks

Hours of work: Flexible within the school day- 20 hours per week.  Term time plus training days, 39 weeks per annum. 

Contract: Permanent

The purpose of this role is to provide support within the PE department.  Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of resources before and after lessons
  • Providing assistance to students during lessons
  • General cleaning and laundry duties
  • General admin duties for the Head of Department

The ideal candidate will be flexible and enjoy working in a busy school environment and be able to organise and prioritise their workload.
