Cambourne Village College is purpose built for the Cam Academy Trust, the vibrant, brand new building with excellent facilities provides a perfect environment in which to learn and work. Cambourne Village College, a new, over-subscribed, Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ secondary school, eight miles from Cambridge, opened as an academy of the Cam Academy Trust in September 2013.  

We are seeking a talented, committed and ambitious teacher to join our excellent English Department.   This is a full time permanent position.

IT Technician

Required as soon as possible

Salary:  Scale 3, Point range 14-17, £17,681-£18,672 Full Time Equivalent

Pro rata salary- £10,433 actual per annum. 

Hours of work:  25 hours per week, 40 weeks per year-

(term-time plus training day plus one week)

Core hours: Flexible approx. 9am- 2.30pm

The Cam Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust which operates a group of secondary and primary schools across Cambridgeshire.

We are looking to appoint an IT Technician to support staff and students at Cambourne Village Collage. You will be passionate about IT, work well both as part of a small team and under your own initiative. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to expand their knowledge and gain experience in all areas of IT.

The successful applicant will have an interest in IT and have a good working knowledge of Windows 10 and iOS.  We have a large office 365 tenant and AD which you will be helping to manage and support, along with the day to day support of students and staff.

Ideally, you should have had some experience of working in an IT Support environment in any industry but this is not essential if you have spent a lot of time working on computers personally. Support of Windows computers is essential.

IT Professional Apprentice - L3

IT Professional Apprentice (Level 3 Advanced )

Start date: Available immediately

Salary range:   £150 per week

Hours of work:  37 per week- 8.00am – 4pm Mon- Thu and 8.00am – 3.30pm Fri

Contract: Fixed term- dependent on length of course.

Description of role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a young person to embark on a career in Information Technology. The apprenticeship with Cambourne Village College presents a very exciting opportunity for an individual to expand their knowledge of IT and be paid in the workplace whilst training and gaining a qualification. 

The role will be hugely varied as the College has to cater for all aspects of IT from Tablet Computing to Windows Networking you will be involved in all aspects and gain really varied experiences.

Cambourne Village College is offering this vacancy as a Level 3 IT Professional apprenticeship qualification.
