Cambourne Village College is purpose built for the Cam Academy Trust, the vibrant, brand new building with excellent facilities provides a perfect environment in which to learn and work. IT Technician

Required for September 2019

Salary: NJC Grade 6 (range 18-22) £24,313 to £26,317

Contract: Full-time and permanent (52 weeks)

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 8am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, and 8am to 3.30pm Friday.

Part of The Cam Academy Trust; Cambourne Village College is a school growing in its IT ambitions.

Cambourne Village College is going through a major review of the technology it is currently using; primarily looking to move its core services to the cloud and exploring the use of mobile devices. The College was the first academy within The Cam Academy Trust to be fully working on the new Trust based Office 365, and as such, is our example demonstrating how other academies in the Trust would work.

We are looking to appoint an IT Technician to support both staff and students in all aspects of IT. You will be passionate about IT, work well both as part of a small team and under your own initiative. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to expand their knowledge and gain experience in all areas of IT. The successful candidate will be part of a team tasked with rolling out the Microsoft Azure Cloud and Office 365.

Counsellor

Start date: September 2019

Salary:   £20 per hour 

Contract:  Fixed term one year.

Hours of work:  one day per week, by negotiation (actual hours 8.30-3pm) 6 hours per week.

We are looking to recruit a counsellor to work with pupils who have social, emotional and mental health issues.  The successful candidate will hold relevant counselling/ therapy qualification and accreditation recognised through BACP.   The work will include providing some one-to-one counselling for individuals and some targeted group work sessions.

Foreign Languages Assistants

Salary: NJC Scale TA1b point 3-4.  £10.66 per hour

Contract: Fixed-term one year.

Term time only (38 weeks) plus holiday pay, total paid weeks 43.14. 

Hours of work: 6 hours per week. 

A number of positions are available.

We are seeking to appoint Spanish Speaker/s to work with students within a classroom

setting and small groups during the school day.

No previous experience is necessary but basic understanding of Spanish grammar is required.

DT Technician

Design and Technology Technician

Salary: NJC Grade 3 point 5 range 5-6 

£9.94 to £9.94 per hour, plus holiday pay

Contract: Permanent

Hours of work: 15 hours per week, flexible by negotiation.

Term time only plus training days (39 weeks) plus holiday pay, total paid weeks 44.28.

Supporting the Design Technology department, you will be involved with managing resources, preparing tools, equipment and materials for lessons and assisting teachers within the classroom. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with existing DT experience or someone looking to expand their knowledge of the subject area.
