Bulletin 03.03.2023

3rd March 2023

This week's bulletin is available here.

Dear Parents and Carers

Chicago

Following the dress rehearsal attended by pupils from our catchment primary schools on Tuesday, the performances on Wednesday and Thursday nights this week have been fantastic, with this evening and Saturday evening still to come.  Congratulations to all your children who have taken part in some capacity: singing and dancing, acting, playing in the band, as backstage crew and in technical support – it’s been another great example of so many talented pupils and staff working together to produce a wonderful show.

New Performance Space

The production of Chicago has been enhanced by the opportunity to perform in our newly equipped, wonderful theatre space – and for the audience to watch with unimpeded views from the comfort of the tiered seating.   I’m hugely grateful for the work of the Cambourne Village College Charitable Trust and to all who have donated to this project and delivered this professional theatre facility for our pupils and the whole community.

Grand Raffle

Our fundraising efforts continue, to purchase extra storage space for the theatre, and to equip the to-be-built lecture theatre of the sixth form as a community cinema for Cambourne.  Please see the page in the following bulletin for a QR code to link you straight to the sales page or follow the tabs on Parent Pay to purchase your tickets.  There are some amazing prizes!

Cambourne Eco Festival:  25 March

This exciting event is being planned by pupils and staff from our Eco-Group, is open to the whole community, and will take place at school; please see the details further within the bulletin, and plan to call in if you can, to support the pupils’ efforts to make our lives as green as possible.

Vacancies

We are seeking a new receptionist, and an afternoon receptionist to cover a maternity leave.  Please see our website for details of these positions.

Wishing you all a very pleasant weekend,

Claire Coates

Principal
