Golf Coaching Opportunity

Dear Parents and Carers
We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity with Cambridge Country Club to offer professional golf coaching to pupils at Cambourne Village College.
The golf coaching programme aims to provide golf tuition and coaching to pupils and provide them with the skills and experience to engage in golf outside of school. This programme is supported by the expertise and experience of Joel Rickard, the PGA professional golfer at Cambridge Country Club, who will be leading the coaching sessions. Participants will develop their golfing ability and will be introduced to a range of different strokes, as well as developing their knowledge and understanding of the rules and etiquette of golf.
The programme will run for a total of 6 weeks, with sessions taking place after school. The first 3 sessions will be held in school, with the final 3 sessions taking place at Cambridge Country Club golf course. The cost for this is £15 in total. Participants should make every effort to attend all sessions – please note that there will be no refunds for any missed sessions. More information about the dates and times of each session is below:

For the sessions at Cambridge Country Club, the PE department will provide minibus transport to and from the golf course. The golf coaching session will run from 3:30 – 5:00pm, with time allocated for travel.
To register your child’s interest in taking part, please sign up and pay £15 via ParentPay by Thursday 23rd March 2023. There are only 16 spaces available, and should we be oversubscribed we will be obliged to abide by the College’s normal system of drawing names out of a hat. Should we be oversubscribed and your child not successful in gaining a place, we will inform you by email and refund the cost. Any students who are not selected will be included on a reserve list.
