Key Worker Arrangements
19th March 2020
Dear Parents and Carers
It has just been confirmed that the Key Worker arrangements apply to the following occupations in Cambridgeshire:
- NHS staff
- Teachers and school support workers
- Police and community support officers
- Frontline civilian police staff
- Prison officers and staff
- Probation officers and trainee prob officers
- LA officers and LA/ NHS social workers
- Uniformed staff in fire and rescue services
- Armed forces personnel and some civilian MOD personnel (ie clinical staff, MOD police, uniformed fire and defence) and some discharged personnel
- Highway agency traffic staff
- LA environmental health officers/practitioners
- Care workers
- Food/supermarket drivers and other workers
And to parents/ carers of children who have an EHCP, are Looked After, or who have a social worker under safeguarding arrangements.
We appreciate that childcare arrangements are going to be very tough for many families, but have been asked to be strict about limiting places to those qualifying under the above categories, in order to keep the number of children spending time together as low as possible.
We are working on a form by which qualifying parents may register their child for a place at Cambourne Village College from Monday 23 March; this should be available on the website by tomorrow morning.
If you have questions about these arrangements, please email the school with the title Key Worker in the subject line of the inbox, and we will reply to you as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely
Claire Coates
Principal
