National Award for CamVC
22nd June 2018
Cambourne Village College was today named as a silver medal winner in The Pearson Teaching Awards School of the Year in the Making a Difference category.
They have now been invited to the 'Oscars' of teaching in the autumn where the gold medal winners will be announced.
The award follows a lengthy inspection by judges early in the term and the announcement today meant the celebrations co-incided with the college's first-ever Leavers' Day when the first students at the school when it opened in 2013 said goodbye.
Celebrations started early at the school as Years 7-10 enjoyed free cake prepared by hard-working catering staff and in the Year 11 Leavers' Assembly, Principal Claire Coates presented The School of the Year trophy to Harry Philp, the first pupil enrolled at the school.
