Parent Bulletin 05.11.2021

5th November 2021

This week's parent bulletin is available here

Dear Parents and Carers

I hope that you all had a good half-term’s break.  This week’s bulletin contains information about opportunities for your children over the next half term at school and Post 16 information for Year 11. This week, all pupils and staff have been receiving training about Online Safety. This opportunity is also open to parents and I strongly recommend the electronic online safety session for parents delivered by ECP. The course lasts for 1 hour and is available until Sunday 7th November 2021. Please see P.3 of the bulletin for details.

Covid 19

Due to rising case levels, Cambridgeshire is now a designated Enhanced Resource Area for Covid 19, which means the Local Authority can call for additional support from Public Health in dealing with outbreaks in schools.  Other additional measures remain in place, in particular, the wearing of masks by everyone in corridors, so please ensure that your child has a mask to wear at school. We have reviewed our risk assessments and are keeping our Covid situation under constant review.

The figures below show the number of pupils not at school this week who have tested positive on a LFD or PCR test, are isolating or are symptomatic.  Seven members of staff have the infection; we are finding that this is causing staff to become very unwell.

Testing

58% of eligible students reported their test results to the Test Register last week.  PLEASE continue to test on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Covid Vaccinations: 12 November

Please note that the school cannot process any documentation regarding the Covid vaccinations for pupils aged 12-16 which are being given here, next Friday 12 November, by a team from the NHS.   Please make sure that your consent form on the portal is correct.  If you wish to add or withdraw your consent for your child to be vaccinated, please do so on the portal, as below.   If your child has already been vaccinated at another centre, please ensure your form does not give consent for a vaccination at school.

The consent form can be found on this link COVID-19 Consent . The code EE139408 identifies this school. The electronic link will close at midday the day before the vaccine session. Please direct enquiries to: hct.csaiscambspb@nhs.net

Lost Property

We have ever-growing mounds of lost property, especially winter jackets.  If your child has lost something, please contact us on thecollege@cambournevc.org and we will do our best to help.  Named items are always returned immediately.

Year 11 Parent Consultation takes place on Thursday 18 November.  Please contact the Year 11 team if you have any difficulties in making appointments.

We wish you all a very pleasant weekend.

Yours sincerely,

Claire Coates
