Parent Bulletin 12.11.2021
12th November 2021
This week's parent bulletin is available here
Dear Parents and Carers
Tiered Seating
We’ve been working around some disruption on site this week, but with very good reason: the tiered seating is being installed in the performance hall. This project has been hampered by the nationally reported supply and labour shortages, but the stage-lighting and curtaining is due to be installed early next term, giving us a full conference and theatre facility at school. This should also make attending assemblies a far more comfortable activity for the pupils on a daily basis.
Online Safety Thank you to those parents who watched the webinar for parents last week. Feedback was very positive and the slides from the presentation are attached with this bulletin.
Covid vaccinations have taken place on site today, administered by a team from the NHS. All pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 with parental consent were vaccinated; unfortunately, approximately 50 students across Years 10 and 11 could not be done in the time allowed. We’re aware that some parents have already had their child vaccinated, and this option is open for anyone who missed their vaccination today, via this LINK. A return visit from the vaccination team doesn’t look likely, so please do pursue this option if you were hoping for your child to be vaccinated today.
Covid rates
Rates of infection amongst pupils and staff have dropped from last week, which is encouraging.

Testing
53% of eligible pupils reported their test results last week. A significant number cannot test due to recent infection, however, we would be pleased to see a higher uptake of home testing to maximise our safety measures at school.
I hope that you all have a very good weekend.
Yours sincerely
