Parent Bulletin 17.06.2022

17th June 2022

This week's bulletin is available here.

Dear Parents and Carers

This has been another busy week at school as GCSE exams continue and staff focus on the timetabling and new arrangements for the September term.  Alongside this, we continue to confirm staff appointments for next year: please see the Vacancies section on our website if you might be interested in joining our excellent team of support staff in September: a range of vacancies is available.

Wednesday 6 July:  Staff Training and Work from Home Day for Pupils

All details of this day are in the separate letters attached to this bulletin for parents and carers of pupils in Years 7, 8 & 9, and those in Year 10.  Please read for details of the day and the additional support on offer to your child if needed.

Addams Family – School Production 27 – 29 June.

Amidst great excitement, tickets for our first musical theatre production for three years are selling fast.  Please see the information later in the bulletin for details of how to purchase.

This Week in School

On Monday this week, the families of our Year 11 Art and Photography students were invited to the GCSE Art Exhibition.  As ever, an astonishing breadth of talent was on display - congratulations to all the students who exhibited!

A number of visits have taken place, with pupils making trips to Comberton Village College for the Young Mental Health Champions Day and Carnegie Reading event.  Our fabulous sports leaders have been in action, running a range of events for pupils from across the region at the South Cambs Outdoor Plus Athletics event, with a team from our Year 7 participating. Meanwhile, pupils on our Football Leadership Programme were running football coaching sessions at our Cambourne primary schools. We are truly lucky to have a staff who are so willing to give their time to enable pupils to have these enriching opportunities.

The weather is forecast to become cooler next week, so please note that pupils are expected to be back in their normal school uniform from Monday.

Wishing you all a very happy weekend,

Claire Coates
