Update 12.06.2020

12th June 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

Another week down – and a sunnier weekend ahead!   Thank you for all your support for your children’s on-line learning this week.  Please do take a look at the Friday Shout-Outs which can be seen on our Facebook page. These can only be a sample of the excellent work being achieved:

School Reports:

Year 10   Parents of children in Year 10 have received their school report today.  All of the curriculum information in these reports is also available on the website, along with all the Year 10 test details:

Years 7, 8 & 9   Staff are now working on the Key Stage 3 reports, to be issued next Friday, 15 June.    These will contain summaries of the curriculum covered and progress reports for English, Maths, Science and Spanish/German/French.

Year 10  Wider Re-opening

Parents of pupils invited into school next week have received their invitations today.  Please return the consent form quickly in order for your child to access this place.  We are unable to invite as many pupils as we would wish, due to the daily 25% of year-group restriction.  The list will change weekly: students studying Art and MFL will all be invited in once; other practical subjects and Maths will be on a weekly basis. Please report absences as early as possible so that any spare places can be offered out:  any pupil who does not attend an accepted session, without notice, is likely to lose their future place to another student.

Key Worker School

We cannot accept any new applications for Year 10 places in the Key Worker School since this has an impact on the other Year 10 lessons on offer.  Places for Years 7, 8 & 9 continue to be available.

Have very good weekends, everyone.

With all good wishes and take care of yourselves,

Claire Coates

Principal
