Update 14.07.2020

14th July 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

End of Term

As you are aware, school finishes this Friday, 17 July. All pupils are scheduled to have a ‘Final Assembly’ on Friday to celebrate the end of term with their year group.  There will be no remote learning for them on that day and Key Worker / Year 10 School will not run.  Details about joining arrangements for September will be included in the video presentation for you this week.

Final Year 10 Test Paper Return – Please!

Any Year 10 students who have not yet returned their test papers should bring these into school tomorrow morning, Wednesday, between 9.30 and 11.30. The exams team will be in the main hall to collect these - students should come to the outside door by the car park, where the test paper folders were collected from.  If anyone has a problem with this, please get in touch with the exams team on: cam-examsteam@cambournevc.org.

Summer Holiday Child Protection

Here are details of a service provided by the Barnado’s Charity

See Hear Respond is a service provided across England by Barnardo’s and other national and local community-based organisations in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

The programme has been created to help children and young people in England who are experiencing harm and increased adversity during this period by providing support to those who are not being seen by social care or other key agencies.

Working with its partners, Barnardo’s aims to reduce the likelihood of harm and ensure other support and protective networks are in place using:

  • online digital support, including advice and information, online counselling and a telephone helpline
  • face to face interventions, such as support for groups at risk outside the home and one to one support

See Hear Respond accept referrals from any source or through the Freephone number 0800 151 7015.   However, should you become aware of any situation in which you think that a child may be at risk over the holiday period, please make a referral to children’s social care by calling 0345 045 5203 (during office hours) or 01733 234 724 (out of hours) and the police, if appropriate, immediately.

I hope that you have a pleasant evening.

Take care everyone, and all good wishes,

Claire Coates

Principal
