Update 18.05.2020

18th May 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

I hope you all had an enjoyable weekend and are buoyed-up by the thought of half term next week – the staff certainly are!

Here are today’s updates:

Year 10 and applying for Post-16 courses: We know it may seem a little way ahead, but work is going on behind the scenes to ensure that all the current Year 10 are given the guidance and information they need to make the next move after the end of Year 11 in summer 2021.  Normally that would include some summer term open days and taster sessions with a range of local post-16 education providers.  You will appreciate that due to the current situation with coronavirus these events are unlikely to happen any time soon.  We look forward to giving you a full list of dates for post-16 events by the end of the summer term once we have a confirmed picture of which events will be going ahead and on what dates.  Please contact klarbeydouglas@cambournevc.org or tthomas@cambournevc.org if you have any questions in the meantime.

School Library Appeal:   Please fill in this simple survey to help the school win £5000 worth of books – the prize goes to the school with the most completed surveys – please take two minutes to do this! https://www.nationalbooktokens.com/schools

School Survey:  Many thanks to those of you who have already completed the survey sent out in Friday’s newsletter.  Please do let us know your views on how the current home-learning provision is working for your children by submitting your responses by Friday 22 May. This is the link:
