Update 19.05.2020

19th May 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

Key Worker School:  June.   We are now taking bookings for Key Worker school for after the half-term break.  Places are reserved for the children of those directly involved in work to manage the coronavirus pandemic, or for our most vulnerable children.  Please complete the form on the link below, by Friday 22 May at 6pm.

School Re-opening:   We are paying particular attention to the continuous stream of advice about the re-opening of schools to supplement home learning for some Year 10 pupils.  To help us with this, if you have not yet done so, please complete the survey about your child’s experiences of home learning on the link below, by 6pm on Friday 22 May.

Business as usual:  Alongside providing home-learning and key-worker school, we are continuing to focus on all the usual business of this half term:  recruitment of staff for a growing school (remote interviews present certain challenges);  the budget (always a challenge); the timetable for 2020/21,  and how we can provide a meaningful transition experience for our incoming Year 6 pupils.  Alongside this, staff have been working hard at providing Centre-Assessed-Grades for our Year 11 pupils – this is proceeding well within the expected time-frame.  We intend to be fully ready for a resumption of normal school, whenever that might be.

Thank you for all the support expressed so far by those of you who have returned the survey.

Enjoy the sunny evening and take care of yourselves,

Claire Coates

Principal
