Update 26.03.2020

26th March 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

Four days into working from home and I’m sure you’re all relieved that it’s Friday tomorrow  Thank you for keeping us informed about absences today, and for all your support for your children’s learning.  Please remember to use CAM-Support@cambournevc.org   if you’re having any difficulties with an on-line system, and please do contact your child’s Year Team if you need any other kind of support.

Easter Opening for Pupils on the Critical Workers’ Scheme.

Thanks to those of you who have already responded to our earlier message today asking for guidance on the number of places needed over the Easter holiday.  Please respond by the end of tomorrow if you think that you might need a place – this is not a definite commitment.

Year 11 Exams

This was published by OFQUAL this afternoon:

We are rapidly working up plans to implement the arrangements the Secretary of State for Education has set out for exams this summer and, with exam boards and teaching bodies, are making considerable progress.

Students understandably want reassurance, and teachers urgently need to know what to do, and when.

We expect to publish detailed information about the process and timetable which will apply this summer next week.

We want to reassure students waiting for news that we are doing everything we can to make sure they are not disadvantaged by these unprecedented circumstances.

We will let you know as soon as we have any definite information for you.

The school building is closed to everyone except thos pupils on the Key Worker Scheme.

Please do not send pupils to school to collect books or other property, in keeping with the Government instructions to stay safely at home.

With all good wishes for your families’ health and safety,

Claire Coates

Principal
