Update 27.04.2020

27th April 2020

Dear Parents and Carers

I hope that you all had a good weekend and that your children have found the new timetables and extension activities helpful.

Extension Activities

The attachment ‘Things to do at Home’ has a further list of generic extension activities for primary and secondary pupils – and adults – which may be of interest.

Miss Angell has the following message:  Dig School is a new online programme of lively cross-curricular learning-enrichment workshops themed around archaeology: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42R09CnHVk0

CamVC pupils, if you’d like to be part of a remote club as well as Dig School email Miss Angell.

Tough Times at Home – Domestic Violence and Hardship

Domestic Violence is increasing across Cambridgeshire – as across the country – in this time of difficult confinement.  We have been asked to share with you the attached document Domestic Abuse which lists many sources of experienced help for those affected.

Please also remember that the College can make referrals to the Cambourne Food Bank. Please contact Mrs Popplewell vpopplewell@cambournevc.org in confidence to register for this.  It is a simple process.  If you would like to make a donation to the foodbank  - it is administered centrally from Cambridge -  you can do so on:  https://cambridgecity.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-funds/

Thank you all for your continued support – we had some lovely emails over the weekend which are always shared with all the staff.

Take good care of yourselves,

Claire Coates

Principal
