Parent Bulletin 11.03.2022

11th March 2022

This week's bulletin is available here

Dear Parents and Carers

Thank you for your support in reinforcing our ‘reset’ of uniform standards in class, so that coats are no longer being worn in classrooms.  This move has been helpful in reinstating our pre-pandemic high uniform expectations and has had a generally positive impact on the teaching environment.

Celebrations

We’ve celebrated some notable successes this week, with a number of pupils achieving very highly in the UKMT Maths Challenge, and a group of Year 10 Design Technology students winning a place in the final of a prestigious national competition run by the Design Museum.  Details of these events will be reported in the end of term News@Cam magazine, and we wish all the pupils well in the next rounds of these competitions.,

Impact of Cambourne West Development – High Importance

Please see the attached letter, which is also being sent to parents of the Cambourne and Hardwick Primary School this afternoon.  The letter gives you details of planned changes to our road access through the new housing estate which are likely to have a significant impact on anyone who ever drives to school -  and it suggests some possible solutions.   We believe it may be useful for our parents to make their views on this situation known to the parties who can influence this.

Opportunities for Pupils

Please see the remainder of the bulletin for details of many opportunities available to pupils outside of school hours.  You will see that we are beginning to resume our previous high level of school events and visits, something hugely welcomed by pupils and staff.

I hope that you all have a very enjoyable weekend.

Yours sincerely

Claire Coates
