NEWS@CAM:
I’m delighted that we’ve been able to publish a special ‘Lockdown’ version to celebrate the many extraordinary achievements of the pupils during school closure. Here is the link:

The PE Department doesn’t rest! 6 Weeks of Summer Holiday Challenges
Please see attachment and thank you to Mr Henderson:
Exercise is especially important for kids during the COVID-19 pandemic because it can reduce stress and boost the immune system. We know many parents have been safely promoting physical activity by making exercise a family activity, encouraging outdoor play and using online videos or virtual classes. We have created another fun way to keep active during the 6 weeks of your summer as well. Each week we have a themed challenge to enjoy on your own, with family or socially distanced with a friend. Please click hereto find the challenges. We hope you enjoy them and remember to keep sending in your Healthy Selfies to Cam-HealthySelfie@cambournevc.org
Summer Holiday Reading:
Children who read widely for pleasure have a huge educational advantage in terms of acquiring new vocabulary and developing reading fluency. Please see the attachment from the English Department for some guidelines on how you can encourage your child to read over the summer holiday.
School Uniform:
We are able to offer some support for families who may find it difficult to afford school uniform at this time: please contact Mrs Katie Reynolds: kreynolds@cambournevc.org, in confidence, so that a way forward can be found.
With all good wishes and take care,
Claire Coates
